Sailing away

"Do you want a bag with your purchase?" - After nearly four months of work and some smaller trips to different parks and beaches, we were finally going on our first big trip to the Bahamas. Not the islands we were looking forward to, but thats a different story...

The journey began Friday morning with a one hour trip to Port Canaveral near Cocoa Beach. As we were driving by the Disney Dreams and one of AIDAs Cruise Ships, we got more and more excited.
After we've checked in we were finally able to board the "majesty of the seas" from royal caribbean. Dont know how, but it seems like they used a time machine as it felt like beeing put back in the 80's.

Our first trip took us to our room. After we've dropped our bags in this little "storage room", we rushed over to the restaurant. And thats where we got stuck till the end of our cruise eating...

Due to the weather conditions (which were totally fine in my opinion), we arrived at the first Port on late Saturday. Prior to leaving the Cruise we got told that this Port will be the only one on our trip. Said about not going to Cococay (which was the island i was mostly looking forward to) we went to discover Nassau. If you are looking for an unattractive island in the middle of nowhere, where you can buy either overpriced jewelry or useless merchandise, Nassau is the place to be!

True story: even the entertainment on board got stuck in the 80's.

As it's the final week of Food&Wine i got really excited about shorter shifts and more time for my blog... but as soon as Food&Wine ends, Holidays Around The World starts. YAY christmas in november. Listening to a native russian woman talking about german christmas... so romantic.
