Application Process

My name is Manuel, i am 25 years old and i live in Landau (Rhineland Palatinate, Germany).
Looking for a Opportunity to develop personally, having fun, improve my English as well as doing something for my future career, i found the perfect position at Walt Disney World, Florida.

With this Blog i wanna share my experience and maybe help you with your own decision.

May 26, 2015 - I applied for the Cultural Representative Program at Walt Disney World via International Services. I had to upload my Resume (CV) and Cover Letter.

June 22, 2015 - To discuss my Application with International Services, they invited me to a Skype Interview and asked some basic questions about myself and informed me about the program itself.

July 1, 2015 - I received an e-mail to complete my Role Checklist for the Program . I decided that I want to work in Merchandise.

August 24, 2015 - Today i received the invitation to a Face to Face Interview in Frankfurt (Main) and directly scheduled my appointment.

October 8, 2015 - It has been my Face to Face Interview today in Frankfurt. After an introduction about the program, i had an individual Interview with one of the Disney Recruiters.

October 29, 2015 - I have been selected to participate in the Disney International Program! Program Start Date: 05. July 2016.

February 25, 2016 - To get my paperwork together, i organised my international birth certificate and the international driving license.

April 5, 2016  - Disneys Recruiting Agency "International Services" informed me that my departure date will be the 4th of July as requested. 

May 11, 2016 -  I received the I797 Visa Petition from Disney and started filling out the online application for my VISA (DS-160).

May 17, 2016 -  To get my documents together, i closed a deal for my health-insurance. I also finished the online application for the VISA (DS-160) and schedulded an appointment at the embassy in Frankfurt. 

 May 27, 2016 - It has been my appointment at the US- Generalconsulate in Frankfurt today. My Visa has been approved and should arrive in a week. 

June 1, 2016 - Today i received my Passport back with the US-VISA inside. 

June 13, 2016 - International Services asked me to pay the program costs for Flight and Hotel. I should receive my travel itinerary in a few days. I`ve also received the Disney E-Mail for Housing Pre-Registration.

June 29, 2016 -  My Arrival itinerary arrived: I can check-in at Vista Way.
