My Year as Cultural Representative: Big Splash with Shamu

It has been quite an Adventure till i have finally arrived at my Hotel in Orlando. But first: Welcome to my first Blog from the United States of America!

My journey started on the 3rd of July at Frankfurt Airport. I directly went to get my Boarding Passes and checked in for the first flight. British Airways took me to London Heathrow with a nice view of the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and Stealth at Thorpe Park. As we had a massive delay, i had to rush to get the next flight to the United States. So i checked in again with American Airlines and spent the 9 hours of flight to Miami with watching several Disney movies and listening to the Lion King Soundtrack. The last flight took me from Miami to Orlando. The heat actually got me like a wall as i did'nt expect it to be that hot. Finally the hotel shuttle-service picked me up and took me to the final place for that day.

I directly dropped myself into the bed with my McDonalds Hamburger, waiting for the next Adventure to start...
which actually started on the next day! Matt and me woke up really early to catch the bus to SeaWorld. Driving around Orlando for the first time has been an Adventure all by itself. Its so amazing to see all those palms and weird shops in the middle of nowhere passing by.

Our first step at SeaWorld took us to the Annual Pass Holder booth where we bought an Annual Pass for SeaWorld and Aquatica, Sea Worlds Waterpark. After we've met the Germans who are spending the year with us, we went inside the park to discover a lot of excitement! Flying with MANTA, touching a stingray and shark, going on a ride with KRAKEN and Orlando's tallest, fastest and longest coaster: MAKO.
